Every year, thousands of people coming from Africa try to reach Spain in desperate and dangerous journeys across the Mediterranean. Tariq is a young Moroccan who works for a mafia that organises these illegal journeys. His job is to carry immigrants in a dinghy across the strait and not getting caught. But every trip might be the last one.<\/p>\n

Gerard Vidal Cort\u00e9s was born in Barcelona in 1994. Graduated in film directing at ESCAC in 2018. He has worked as a writer, director, assistant director and script supervisor in many projects. He wrote and directed Tahrib as his graduation project in college. Julia de Paz, born in Sant Cugat (Barcelona), 1995. AMA is a short film directed by J\u00falia, presented as a final Project of the ESCAC University. J\u00falia de Paz film studies began at the age of 18. In the second year she specialized in cinematographic direction, where she found her main motivation: coaching. Her main motives starts at the concern with the figure of the women. The goal is to work with stories that can be debated and criticized through a long process of research. Also work with issues focused on inequality in all areas specially in gender inequality emerging from the role of women in society. Trying to find a connection between documentary and fiction. Marta Bayarri is an actress, writer and director based in Barcelona, Spain. She got her start as a director with the short Una Nit<\/em> (2014). She followed it up with \u201cFugit\u201d (2016), which was released to wide acclaim, achieving the Candidacy for the Goya Awards 2018. Vaca<\/em> (2018) is her latest film. With a great international acceptance, receives a nomination at the HBO Ibero-American Short Film Award at the Miami Film Festival. Irene Moray (1992) is a photographer and filmmaker from Barcelona. In 2012 she moves to Berlin and for three years she collaborates with the performance collective the–family with which she performs in various cultural entities throughout Europe as the Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo or the Chisenhale Gallery in London. During her stay in Berlin, she directs her first fiction short film: Bad Lesbian<\/em>. After four years in Germany, she decides to return to her hometown where she has shot her next short film as a writer and director: Suc de S\u00edndria<\/em> (Watermelon Juice) premiered at Berlinale Shorts. Xavier Marrades was born in 1979 in Barcelona. He studied a MFA in experimental documentary at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Miseric\u00f3rdia<\/em> was released this 2019 at the MoMA in New York under the New Directors New Films festival. Cucli (2016) was his previous documentary short film, shown at festivals around the world, IDFA, Cartagena de Indias, Camerimage, NYFF, among others.
