Apollo&Artemisia
by Savio Debernardis | Germany | 2019, 26’
Since moving to the Circus Stramm, Apollo’s days are overshadowed by loneliness, while the nights are colorful scenes of shows populated by beautiful women, despotic men and strange figures. His mother Francesca is too busy dancing in the shows and trying to integrate into the Circus troupe where Apollo doesn’t feel welcomed. To escape the brutality of his life, he builds his own image of the world helped by his friend Artemisia. They create new narratives of reality through the games they play – until a violent event brings Apollo abruptly back to the toughness of his life.
