A Decent Woman | Los Decentes
Belen, a housemaid working in an exclusive gated community in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, embarks on a journey of sexual and mental liberation in a nudist swinger-club bordering the high security walls. Lukas Valenta Rinner explores how his characters handle and deal with their body, the superficiality of the relationships and the deep gap between social classes. The film of the Austrian-Argentinian director is coloured by a very black humour about that well-explored rivalry between bourgeoisie and proletariat. These two distant and irreconcilable ideologies can only lead to a resolution which is dark, violent as well as extreme.
